Bay View Cottage

Location

The Cottage is located in a rural area on the west coast of the island with the longest beach, Vazon, only a minute’s walk away. The location is convenient for all the facilities and amenities that the island has to offer. Bay View Cottage is situated alongside the main house, and was built in 2012. There are views of the garden (60M by 20M), the open country beyond and from upstairs, the beach. There is a car parking space just outside the front door.

Kitchen

The main door opens onto the galley kitchen. Behind the door is a cupboard containing an iron, ironing board, an airer and a broom. To the right of the door are the stairs.

The kitchen contains an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with a freezer box, and kettle. Cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and glasses are provided.

Shower room

Under the stairs is the fully tiled shower room. Towels are provided.

Lounge/dining room

Beyond the kitchen is the lounge/dining room. This contains a dining table and two chairs and a two-seater settee. The wing has a 32” flat-screen TV and dedicated wifi.

French doors lead out to a small patio area with a table and chairs. The patio is quite sheltered and faces south and west.

Bedroom

The double bedroom has wardrobes, and plenty of storage space under the bay window. There is a small make-up area between the wardrobes with an inbuilt fan heater underneath. There is a chest of drawers and bedside tables with lamps.

The bay window overlooks the main garden while the Velux windows look out over the bay. The gable window looks to the west and has a view of the bay and glorious sunsets.

Facilities

Heating is provided by under floor heating in the lounge / diner and in the shower room. There are under-unit fan heaters in the kitchen and in the bedroom for those odd chilly moments. Bay View is extremely well insulated and is double glazed; it will be cool in the summer and snug in colder weather.

Bay View has a wood effect laminate floor through the kitchen and lounge / dining room. The shower room has a tiled floor. The stairs and bedroom are carpeted.

Bay View has its own patio.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer located in the garage, available 24 hours a day, for use by guests staying in either the chalet or the cottage.
